Principal’s Welcome

“Drawing on more than three decades of educational leadership, Maria Regina Principal, Jodi Jefferson, is committed to fostering confident learners, creative thinkers and future leaders through a culture of strong relationships, high expectations and excellence.”

Welcome to Maria Regina, a school with a proud history and a strong reputation for knowing and valuing every child.

I feel deeply privileged to be joining this vibrant school community and have already been inspired by the warmth, spirit and sense of connection that make Maria Regina such a special place to learn and grow.

Across more than 30 years in Catholic education, I have seen firsthand that children thrive when they are both supported and challenged. While a strong sense of belonging is essential, I believe every child also deserves the opportunity to discover their strengths, pursue their passions, embrace new challenges and achieve personal excellence.

At Maria Regina, I see a school with enormous potential. The school’s size is one of its greatest strengths. It allows teachers to know each child as an individual, recognise their unique gifts and provide the encouragement, challenge and opportunities they need to flourish. I am passionate about creating learning environments where students are curious, creative and confident learners, where achievement is celebrated, leadership is encouraged and every child is inspired to strive for their personal best.

I believe an outstanding education nurtures the whole child, developing not only strong academic foundations but also character, resilience, faith and a sense of purpose. My commitment is to ensure that every student is known, supported and challenged through engaging learning experiences that prepare them to thrive both now and into the future.

One of the aspects of Maria Regina that excites me most is the strong partnership that exists between school, family and parish. As both a parent and educator, I understand how important these relationships are in helping children discover their talents, build confidence and develop a lifelong love of learning. I look forward to working closely with students, families, staff and our parish community as we continue to build on the many strengths of this wonderful school.

Whether you are already part of the Maria Regina family or considering joining us, I warmly invite you to visit our school and experience firsthand what makes this community so special. I look forward to meeting you and sharing in the journey of learning, growth and achievement that awaits your child.
